About the Artist

Vera Nulla is a Ukrainian visual artist based in Prague. She works in ink on paper and monochrome painting on canvas, ranging from small drawings to large-scale works, and incorporates human hair and hairpins as recurring materials.

Statement

My works treat the body as a temporary vessel that changes along the path from birth to death. I see them as a visual diary that records changes in the body, memory, and personal experience.

Most of these pieces are done in ink on paper and are based on sketches from my dreams. These images become material for exploring the subconscious and bodily experience.

I also create large-scale pieces on canvas, using real human hair. They become a physical trace of my presence.

My art exists as an extension of my life and its consequences, accompanying me on this journey from beginning to end.
